This policy explains what Decision Science Lab collects when you use decisionsciencelab.com, why we collect it, and who else sees it. If anything here is unclear, email cvardar@gmail.com and we will answer.
Decision Science Lab is an engineering firm run by Cem Vardar. For questions about this policy, or about data we hold, the contact is cvardar@gmail.com.
Our location and demographic analysis tools work on addresses and search radiuses that you type in. We log these queries, along with the tool used and whether the analysis succeeded, so that we can diagnose failures and improve the tools. These logs are not tied to your identity unless you also gave us an email address as part of a paid report.
If you buy a report, we store the email address you provide so that we can deliver the report and link it to your purchase. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and billing details are entered on Stripe's systems and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
Our location analysis pages use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects standard usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and how you arrived at the site. We use this in aggregate to understand which tools people find useful. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Parts of this site are internal tools restricted to authorised staff. Signing in uses Sign in with Google, and we receive only your email address and basic profile information from Google. We use it for one purpose: to check your email address against our list of authorised accounts. We never receive your Google password, and we do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data. If you are not on the authorised list, nothing is stored.
We use the information above only to:
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
We rely on a small number of service providers, who process data on our behalf:
These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States.
Query logs and report records are kept while they remain useful for supporting customers and improving the tools. If you would like the data associated with your email address deleted, email cvardar@gmail.com and we will remove it.
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email cvardar@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or KVKK; we will honour those requests as well.
We use cookies for two things: Google Analytics on our analysis pages, as described above, and a session cookie that keeps authorised staff signed in to the internal tools. We do not use advertising cookies.
This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
